I chose this piece of work as It was my highest Achievement I got In Wesley Intermediate school. I love writing , and I always loved to write and learn new things about writing. Last Year we learned about Narratives. We were preparing for our writing test , weeks past and that day came - we had to do our writing test. I was so nervous but I had a bit of confidence in myself as our teacher taught a lot about writing narratives. Our Picture was about a bush walk but I twisted it into a horror story , Time passed and the test was over I read it over and see how I did I thought I did pretty good. Weeks passed and finally we got our test results. Out of the whole class only 2 people got a 5b and I was one of them!. I was so proud of myself!, I was above the standards for writing and so on I worked my hardest to improve in writing.
The Girl In the Forest
Ever been so excited about something that you just couldn't go sleep?,well that happened to me. A group of us are going on a really cool camping trip , and the best part is that the place is that we're going is somewhere unknown,but rumors conquer me .A legend says that whoever comes in the forest stays in the forest, just because a little girl was killed in there and now she wants revenge. I wonder why?
“BANG BANG” ,”Emma!”, “BANG BANG” “Are you awake??”. I finally woke up of the painful sounds on my door, they sound like bullets pounding on my door trying to break in.”Emma open the door!”,half awake I finally took off with my cozy warm blanket, swung open the door and there standing was my best friend Jessica who was holding two humungus sports bags and looked like she just finished a marathon.”what happened to you Jess?”, she pushed me away from the door angrily “what happened to me,you mean what happened to you!” she yelled fiercely.”You were supposed to wake two hours ago for our camping trip!”, “Oh, sorry Jess I totally forgot” I tried to get on her good side, “How about some coffee”I asked politely,her pained look faded away. The sametime I was getting dressed and packing all my heavy camping gear, Jessica showed me pics of the forest ,the forest looked pretty cool with all those trees and plants it looked like an Island, but there was something about this forest that gave me shivers down my back.
Drake and Josh arrived about an hour later. We started to talk about the forest and what were gonna do there, I still felt fear all over me trying to take over my body.”Ok guys we should get going it's nearly getting dark”. Me and Josh packed all the stuff in the boot, A breeze of fresh air twirled around me like a tornado, the fresh air made me feel calm inside of me but gave me the chills. After two hours , we finally arrived in the forest , the place was deserted. We all got out of the car , it smelt damp and there were tall trees everywhere. I could hear bird sounds very close it's like they trying to surround me.”Pretty cool right” said Drake. Me and Jessica started to stroll down the old dirty muddy path, while Drake and Josh
started to unpack everything. The moon shining bright, bird flying in the cold air breeze,I smell the delicious s'mores being baked in the hot camp fire, all of us sat down and ate, I could feel my tummy getting fatter and at the same time getting full. When we finally finished our marvellous feast, we all went in our tents and zipped them all up. Half asleep I hear a little song, “You do not belong here go away now!,You do not belong here go away now!, before I kick you got myself!”. I wake up and see a shadowy figure, I tried to go sleep then all of a sudden “HEEEELP ME, PLEASE STOP I-I DON'T WANT TO DIE” I wake up and zoomed to Jessica's tent .
